A word to the wise as you walk a slippery path
Remember that a window only shows you HALF
You’d take a memory so cherished and pure
See it as a disease with your condemnation its only cure
Shared with you in joy, Openness and laughter
Judge it by perception until you see only disaster.
How dare you stand in judgement laying the blame?
Turning something so beautiful into regret, doubt and shame.
We’ve shared our moments both days and nights,
We’ve put in the work through laughter and through fights.
The ties that bind are whole, sweet and true
A friendship, a bond, a love we tried to share with you.
Nearly a decade the friendship we’ve grown,
to have you poison it With your-self righteous moans
How dare you weigh what you don’t understand
HOW DARE YOU QUESTION THE HONOR OF THAT MAN.
Instead you wait to spring your vile opinions
Voice your concerns and disappointment in HIS dominion.
How DARE you stand where you do not belong
When you’ve shared openly so much of yourself all along..
Where’s the line we should not cross
Please tell us before we are lost.
Obviously you are the pious guide
Who would never set your morals aside
Or flash your innermost secrets and flesh
In a room to be mixed with all the rest
Instead you’d rather wait to instill in the heart and mind
Darkness in the light of something we have searched so hard to find
If you were in his shoes, could you do what you saw him do
Stay true, keep your vows, walk the path you always speak about?
Could you in a heartbeat turn, share the innocence ..INNOCENCE of a true friendship learned
Could you stand where he has stood, and still consider yourself..honorable, whole and good.
Would you have the strength to deny your desires, and yet kindle the embers of a friendships fires?
Could you share a bond that runs that deep, and then stand to see it trampled beneath anothers feet?
For what, your righteous indignation..deep down is that what fueled the concerned intervention?
Or was it something ..else you might have forgotten to mention.
Regardless of your reason and your stance
I’ll now dance your dance and hope you know
He’ll be paying now for a debt
He DOES NOT OWE.
