Dammit he thought
as he walked along,
Damn this rain
and that stupid song.
His mind going crazy
Thoughts from the past,
How long can this take
How long can it last?
The memories of old
Haunting his dreams,
Scaring his eyes
Blurring the scenes.
A fatal crash
A dark wet night,
She came from nowhere
Into sight.
He hit the brakes
His tires slid,
Her body crumpled
Just a kid.
Her face in the windshield
Covered in blood,
Damn this rain
This cursed flood.
He looked in her eyes
Her lips ran red,
Her lifeless body
Her pupils dead.
Oh God he cried
Oh fuck oh shit,
His heart sank low
A bottomless pit.
He looked around
No soul in sight,
His face pale
A ghostly white.
His hands shook
As he opened the door,
His bottle of whiskey
Soaking the floor.
He stood over her body
Knees growing weak,
His eyes swelling
Beginning to leak.
He picked her up
To the ditch he walked,
He never spoke
Never talked.
He laid her down
Closed her eyes,
Raised his head
Looking to the skies.
The memory faded
The pain returned,
His blood boiled
His heart burned.
This is it
The end has come,
Years of suffering
Of a useless bum.
His knees bent
A spring in his leap,
His body soared
A bloody heap.
Her hand wrapped his
Firm and strong,
Come I'll take you
Where you belong.
Her eyes turned black
Her skin turned red,
At last I have you
At last you're dead.
The pain he felt
In his living years,
Left only anger
Only tears.
His screams would echo
Eternal flame,
Never ending
Eternal blame.
