I came upon a meadow
Where An angel soon appeared,
A vision from the heavens
Taking all I'd feared.
My breath held
My face turned blue,
My heart stopped
My life through.
I fell to the ground
Stars in my eyes,
My body cold
Beneath a clear sky.
I left my body
Broken and used,
Looking down at my features
Shattered and bruised.
the things I thought
As I walked along side,
Where were my clothes
Should I hide?
She took my hand
Her grip firm,
Guiding me on
New things to learn.
At last we stopped
A waterfall pouring,
My heart renewed
As if I were soaring.
My temple broken
Yet my spirit lives on,
My life reborn
Beneath a blinding dawn.
She turned to me
Eyes full of tears,
I wiped her cheek
Removing her fears.
Her warm drops
Wet on my hand,
My bare feet
Leaving prints in the sand.
My lips to hers
Loves first kiss,
My heart jolted
A buzzing hiss.
My eyes opened
A pain in my chest,
Her hand on my face
My mind at rest.
I love you babe
My one true love,
My life my all
My flying dove.
Though times are hard
And things seem bad,
The end of you
Would drive me mad.
